Make Prevention a Priority in Your Organization

A We SEE You Partner in Prevention is an organization or business that has committed to creating safer environments for youth by taking clear, intentional steps to prevent, recognize, and respond to child sex trafficking and exploitation. Organizations that apply and are approved receive a dated We SEE You Partner in Prevention (Champion) emblem to display at their facility, website, and printed materials. This emblem is a visible symbol of your commitment to safeguarding children and disrupting the demand for exploitation.

The Partner in Prevention Commitment Includes:

01. Prioritizing prevention.

Prioritizing prevention by training staff and volunteers who work with youth.

02. Conducting background checks.

Conducting background checks for individuals in youth-serving roles.

03. Adopting policies.

Adopting policies that minimize one-on-one interactions between adults and
children.

Why It Matters to Families

When organizations train their teams and implement best practices, they create a culture of safety. This reduces opportunities for abuse and signals to perpetrators that your space is not a safe haven for exploitation. Prevention training also empowers staff and volunteers to identify red flags and respond appropriately when something doesn’t seem right—or when a child asks for help.
